Toby began his real estate career at Deloitte, where he conducted valuation and appraisal assignments for a wide range of commercial and residential developments. After returning to Houston in 2004, he transitioned into homebuilding and land development, gaining extensive experience working with builders, developers, and private equity firms. This background has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of real estate valuation, with a particular focus on property tax consulting and management services. Toby holds a B.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences (1998) and an M.S. in Land Economics and Real Estate (2001), both from Texas A&M University. As the owner and operator of AVA, he leads the firm's strategic direction and client service initiatives.

Brad holds a Master's in Land Economics and Real Estate from Texas A&M University (2005) and brings more than 20 years of experience in real estate analysis across Texas. He is a licensed Senior Property Tax Consultant specializing in complex property valuation and tax matters. Prior to joining AVA in 2017, he served as a senior consultant at Metrostudy and John Burns Real Estate Consulting and as a land manager for Ryland Homes. His expertise in land acquisition, development, and market analysis underpins his work in property valuation and tax consulting. At AVA, he specializes in assisting clients with complex appraisal matters, identifying opportunities for tax savings, and managing property tax obligations effectively. He has been a key contributor to the firm's operations since joining in 2017.

Jennifer earned a B.S. in Accounting (2006) and a Master's in Accounting (2007) from Kansas State University. She began her career at Grant Thornton, earning her Certified Public Accountant license in 2009. After relocating to Texas in 2012, she held finance leadership positions with Pulte Homes, Toll Brothers, History Maker Homes, and Taylor Morrison before joining AVA in 2024. With her extensive homebuilding experience, Jennifer brings a client-informed perspective to property tax consulting and valuation advisory services, having been an AVA client herself since 2014. She is currently focused on expanding the firm's presence and client services.

Trinka joined Ad Valorem Advisors in 2006 after working with several leading property tax firms. With more than 35 years of experience in the property tax industry, she possesses extensive expertise in valuation and management. Trinka is a member of the Texas Association of Property Tax Professionals (TAPTP) and a licensed Property Tax Consultant in the State of Texas. As the longest-tenured member of the team, she plays a critical role in managing the firm's back-office operations and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of client services.

Kristin is a Property Tax Consultant supporting operations and client services at AVA. She began her career in the property tax industry in 2003 and advanced to a full-time consultant role in 2005. After earning her degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Early Childhood–6) from the University of Houston in 2011, she spent five years teaching in Lamar CISD before returning to the industry in 2020.

Jessica holds a B.S. in Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University (2020). Prior to joining AVA in 2025, she held finance positions with Southern Homebuilders and Taylor Morrison. She combines her homebuilding industry experience with valuable client-side insight, having been an AVA client prior to joining the team.

Kevin brings over 25 years of experience in software development, database design, and process optimization to AVA. He has built tools and systems across web, mobile, and backend environments, with a focus on streamlining complex operations and data workflows. Kevin is responsible for developing and maintaining the firm's client portal and other software tools that support data-intensive property tax consulting and valuation services. He joined the team in 2025.
